Saruman: The White Wizard Who Fell from Grace

Saruman was a powerful and influential figure in Middle-earth. He was a Maia, one of the Ainur, who were created by Eru Ilúvatar. He was sent to Middle-earth as one of the Istari, or wizards, to help fight the forces of Sauron.

Saruman's arrival in Middle-earth:

Saruman was the first of the Istari to arrive in Middle-earth. He arrived in the year 1000 of the Third Age.

Saruman's mission:

Saruman's mission was to help the Free Peoples of Middle-earth resist the forces of Sauron. He was also charged with protecting the lore and knowledge of Middle-earth.

Saruman's character:

Saruman was a powerful and wise wizard. He was also a skilled craftsman and builder. However, he was also proud and ambitious. He desired power and control, and he was willing to do whatever it took to achieve his goals.

Saruman's role in the War of the Ring:

Saruman initially played a role in the War of the Ring. He helped to gather the forces of good for the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. However, he eventually betrayed the Free Peoples and allied himself with Sauron.

The first of the wizards to arrive in Middle-earth was a noble and kind person with a long face, high forehead, deep dark eyes, and white hair and beard. It is said that his hair was black when he first arrived in Middle-earth. He was skilled in craftsmanship and industry and was the closest to the elves. He was known by the name Curunír, which means "the man of industry," and in the language of men he was known as Saruman. He went to the East and took with him the two blue wizards and was absent for about 1500 years. He returned to the West of Middle-earth with the growth of Sauron's power and was appointed head of the White Council. In the same year, the One Ring was found by the creature Gollum. He went to Minas Tirith and studied its archives and learned of the existence of the palantír stone in the tower of Orthanc. He was able to convince the council to let him have Isengard as his home.

This was welcomed by the King of Rohan and the Steward of Gondor, but Saruman's intentions were hidden from the council. He wanted to build his own army and was jealous of Gandalf after he acquired one of the Three Elven Rings. He sent spies to watch the Shire and did not reveal his intentions until Gandalf revealed to him the existence of the One Ring. He tried to He tried to woo Gandalf, but Gandalf refused to join him, so he took him prisoner in Isengard, Gandalf was able to escape from Isengard, and the magician king of Angmar came to Isengard, asking Saruman about the Shire and Bagnes, and he told him that he knew nothing about it and told him that Gandalf knew the location of the One Ring and knew that his plan had been revealed by escaping. Gandalf wanted to attack Rohan and kill Theodred, the son of King Theoden and sent his spies to arrest Frodo Bagnes.

But Saruman's network of spies failed and he was unable to arrest Frodo. He lost in the Battle of Helm's Deep to Gandalf and Rohan, and when they learned that Isengard had been controlled by the Anti-Treebeard, everyone realized that Saruman was completely defeated. Saruman tried to woo King Théoden and Gandalf in an attempt to escape, but they refused to support him and his staff was broken. He was expelled from the Istari and left locked in his tower, but he was able to escape from the tower in the wake of Grima formed a band of criminals and attacked the province for a short time. He was known as a criminal lord, but with the return of Frodo and Sam, he was defeated and in the end, his servant Grima killed him. Since Saruman is a Mayan, his body is destroyed, but his soul remains, and Saruman remains residing on earth. The middle one is about 2000 years old.
